Tips

Poster: cover your question, methods, main findings and conclusions. Keep text short, favour figures, avoid overcrowding, and make sure everything is readable on a laptop screen.

Video: give an overview, not every detail. Suggested flow: introduction (30 s), aim (20 s), methods (1 min), two or three key findings (2 min), conclusion and take-home message (45 s). Speak naturally, use figures, and zoom in on the part you are discussing. Captions are encouraged.

Audio matters most: record in a quiet room, use a headset or external microphone if you can, and test the sound first.
